Logging in Quebec is original footage of a winter logging operation and spring log drive filmed in 1934 by Earle E. Shaw. The 16mm film was transferred to DVD and is housed at the Raymond H. Folger Library at the University of Maine in Orono, ME.
His daughter Marjory Shaw Chase made a narration of the footage in 2014. We combined the narration with some still images while leaving the video footage minimally processed to preserve it's original feel. For the full length video click here. |
